the beginning.

starting a new blog can be difficult but it's time i get this thing going! in a world where so much can bring you down, this is my little place to post the things that elevate my mood, the things that make me hope for good things out there. the things i'm madly in love with! nothing would be more appropriate for a first post than my little monkey monsters.

daisy and dexter are brother and sister, full bred minature dachsunds. daisy is a black and tan and dexter is a dapple with mixings of brown, black and grey all over. dexter has two different colored eyes, one blue and one brown. they're technically long haired but in daisy, you can hardly tell. they're a year old.

daisy has so much personality. she's a master mind. she's sneaky, she knows how to get what she wants by simply looking straight into your eyes. she's fast like a cheetah and so super agile, she irritates dexter when they play because he cannot catch up to her and he screams in our yard and makes all the neighbor kids stare. she's smart and can roll over, play dead, a triple axel (this is when she tries to roll over and jump at the same time) as well as the basic commands. dexter is my sweet, gentle boy. everytime he hops up on the couch to sit next to me my heart melts. he's not as interested in the sport aspect, he's like me. he likes to chill, be lazy, etc. he's not so much for tricks but i also got him a few months after i already had daisy so i didn't have as much time to work with him. he can, however, sit straight on his butt which he does often and i think it's the cutest thing in the whole world. cubby, the golden retriever there is my fiance's(married in a month!) "time share" dog. she lives with his father and visits every so often and it makes him so happy to see her. she's so obedient and hangs on his every word. more pictures to come of my fur babies who really know how to share the love.

dexter, daisy and cubby!
